Children We encourage you to involve your children in the training process; however, due to safety reasons children under the age of 8 are not allowed to handle dogs in class.
Clean-up Owners/Handlers are responsible for prompt clean up of ALL dog waste both indoors and on the property. Please bring doggie bags with you to class and dispose of all waste in specified locations. If you do not have a bag, let your Instructor know and we will provide clean up supplies for you.
Sick Days Dogs deserve sick days, too. Please do not attend classes or events if your dog has been ill. Notify your Instructor in advance for make-up options. Humans may still attend class
Vaccinations Dogs over 6 months old must be current on Rabies and Distemper. Puppies 8-16 weeks need to have at least one distemper. Kennel cough strongly suggested, but not required
Make ups "Make up" classes will only be made available if a class night is cancelled. Each class is dependent on meeting enrollment requirements. Students may request a class make ups for an additional $20 per session and are ½ hr in length
Snow Closures If the forecast is predicting a storm that may make it dangerous for travel, I will send an e-mail , post it on the Maine Dog Training Facebook page by 9pm the night before class. Please check your e-mail if the weather looks like it may be unsafe!
No refunds or credits (full or partial) will be issued for cancellations 3 days before class starts or dropouts after class has begun.
